What began with curated playlists is now a connected platform with a new website, a 24/7 YouTube stream, a clearer way for artists to submit music, and the launch of SCR Zine. The project has grown, but the idea behind it remains the same: music discovery should still feel personal.
A Home for the Signal
The new website brings every part of Synth City Radio into one place. Listeners can move from curated synthwave and synthpop playlists to the live radio stream, while artists have a direct route to submit music for consideration.
Instead of sending people across separate pages and social profiles, the platform now connects listening, radio, submissions and editorial content as one clear experience. SCR Zine gives Synth City Radio an editorial voice. The magazine will cover selected releases, artist stories, interviews and the people behind the music, with a focus on independent synthwave, synthpop and electronic artists. The aim is simple: fewer disposable posts and more context for music worth discovering.
Live, Around the Clock
The biggest step is the new 24/7 YouTube stream. Synth City Radio now broadcasts around the clock as a continuous synthwave radio and synthpop radio experience, alongside selected electronic music that fits the atmosphere of the station. Every track is chosen as part of the wider programming rather than added to fill an automated feed. The broadcast also includes a live now-playing ticker, keeping the current artist and track visible as the stream unfolds. It is a small detail, but an important one: music discovery works better when listeners can see exactly what they are hearing.
Two months ago, none of these parts of Synth City Radio existed. Today, they are all live, connected, and working together. There is still more to build, but the foundation is already here: curated music, independent artists and a place for listeners looking beyond the usual algorithmic feed.
